After finding herself at the movies or the grocery store suddenly surrounded by strangers in Santa Fe after some 20+ years, Gail Snyder moved to Madrid in 2002, seeking community here because it was scarily small, lots of renegades live here and art is still alive and well. She's been on both sides of economic disparity and finds great joy in gleaning food for the masses.
